Musings – 17 Dec 2020

Posted on: December 17, 2020

His career was as important to him as was mine to me

But we also wanted a family and wanted to have kids

So we harnessed our strengths; decided to divide and conquer

He looked after finances & family; I looked after kitchen & kids

No, do not look at this from your sexist eyes

Not stereotypical gender biased roles

I dealt with vendors and so did he; just the different kinds

We picked where our strengths lie

So, we divided and we conquered

Twenty years of being Yin and Yang;

I want to call him out for being the feminist that he his

In the world where genders are fighting for superiority

I am glad to have a partner who complements me; especially because he is proud of us too
